    Essense Designs is an international bridal wholesaler with key offices based in Perth, Australia and Lenexa, Kansas.     The Role


    We have an opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to lead and manage all aspects of our global freight and logistics.


    This position will influence the team through an engaging and highly organised leadership style to achieve excellence by collaborating with internal stakeholders and ensuring delivery of exceptional service. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of logistics, transportation, customs compliance, and 3PL management spanning from factory to store.

    • Establish a highly efficient and cost-effective logistics strategy;
    • Engage, collaborate and partner with business stakeholders across multiple business functions to understand strategic & tactical business objectives and how they relate to our supply chain;
    • Partner with key business leaders to understand the service levels expected from our stores;
    • Select, onboard and manage carriers/suppliers;
    • Ensure compliance with relevant international regulations;
    • Effectively manage duties, customs and drawbacks;
    • Design and implement a new international distribution solution;
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities;
    • Provide commercial insights and operational analysis to influence the performance of the logistics function and deliveries to our stores;
    • Inspire, develop and empower the Logistics team;
    • Travel as required, domestic and international. Candidate must hold a valid passport.



    What We Are Looking For: 

    • 10+ years’ experience within logistics / supply chain / transportation management;
    • Knowledge and experience managing global freight carriers;
    • Process driven, strategic mindset with exposure to global 3PL distribution;
    • Demonstrated success within a wholesale/retail/FMCG//apparel environment;
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - advanced Excel preferable;
    • Advanced interpersonal skills interacting with leadership and building solid and trusted working; relationships across the organization, both locally and globally;
    • A strong aptitude to learn in a fast paced, high growth environment;
    • Keen ability to ensure projects are on track for completion to plan and able to flag risks and anticipate needs in a proactive manner;
    • Ability to drive change, adapt and respond to business needs;
    • Thorough, research driven approach and a willingness to consult and collaborate with others (both locally and globally) to overcome obstacles and achieve the best results;
    • Certification in, or experience with, Lean Six Sigma highly desirable.
