    Responsibilities

    The Role

    We are growing and looking for a Senior Retail Manager to join our retail store, Belle Vogue Bridal, in Lenexa, KS.  This role is responsible for managing a fast paced, high volume retail bridal boutique.  The individual in this role will implement the strategic business plan and drive a highly effective, sales-oriented team with best in class operational and customer experience standards.  The Senior Retail Manager will be an industry expert and training resource for new employees joining the Business Development team and other strategic partners.  This individual will have knowledge of retail and/or bridal industry as well as possess multi-unit and/or high-volume store experience.

    What We Expect: 

    • Collaborate in the development of the stores annual business plan to understand store performance needs as well as financial, operational and client experience goals.
    • Develop annual store promotional strategy and deliver outcomes in alignment with store budget.
    • Identify and delegate tasks appropriately as workload dictates while having a concentration on the development and oversight of the management team.
    • Work with store management to deliver quantifiable performance (ie: KPI metrics, conversion, average sale, individual targets)
    • Review and analyze monthly operational and overhead expenses to identify areas to improve efficiency and manage costs.
    • Understand company culture and ensure compliance with brand standards and core values.
    • Lead in-store special events and community outreach activities and then appropriately escalate for executive level approval and communication.
    • In partnership with the Retail Operations Manager, develop the staffing plan, rotation schedule and training plans for senior level approvals.
    • Collaborate in the development of best in class store program manuals.
    • Determine appropriate organizational structure and staffing model to ensure store sales capacity is maximized for the Kansas City market.
    • In collaboration with the store management, foster a high-performance culture of accountability and exceptional customer service through personal engagement with team and store activities.
    • Engage in regular coaching and feedback activities with store management and the retail team to ensure adherence to all standards in order to accurately measure and test all operational aspects of the business.
    • In partnership with store management, collaborate on the day to day store operations with a focus on providing a superior experience to brides.
    • Collaborate with leadership to oversee new business ideas relating to customer experience, driving sales, new technology and merchandising.
    • Partner with leadership to develop store assortment plan taking into consideration selling trends, style variation and merchandising needs.
    • Oversee inventory performance and trends from instore performance metrics
    • Forecast staffing, workload and performance results to adjust staffing as needed to meet business demands.
    • Oversee the stores external marketing activities including in-store events, bridal fairs and other promotions including social media calendars and communications.
    • Manage the store’s annual marketing budget and determine appropriate advertising in local publications.

    Qualifications

    What We Are Looking For: 

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel, Fashion or related degree strongly preferred; equivalent relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • Minimum of 10 years retail management experience. Previous bridal sales or other specialty apparel industry related management experience preferred.  Multi-Unit experience a plus. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of industry visual merchandising standards. Ability to implement company recommendations for store floor concepts and visual presentation.
    • Ability to effectively coach and motivate consultant and management productivity and sales goals and adapt to change in a fast-paced, quickly changing industry.
    • Demonstrate effective management and leadership experience.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and social media platforms.
    • Strong customer service approach with ability to build relationships with customers and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
    • Strong product and industry knowledge with the drive to maintain current understanding of industry trends.
    • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as business dictates.
