The Role 

 

We believe smart and effective communications require a blend of art and science. We are looking for a communications pro to help us bridge the two as we share our story with employees, brides and stores around the world.

 

Essense of Australia is seeking an energetic Communications Specialist to ideate, plan, write and distribute global communications across a variety of digital platforms. This role will serve as a key team player within the Company’s Brand Experience teams and will work cross-departmentally with digital, sales, customer service and HR.

 

A connector of dots with a passion for details, the Communication Specialist will have a keen understanding of the customer journey from Point A to Point Z and will own and help improve the marketing Email Service Provider (ESP) software and process, distributing all company communication to stores and brides. Testing, previewing, tweaking and navigating communications through a digital lens is the name of the game, with the goal of increasing engagement along the way.

 

Demonstrating a genuine interest in the “why” and the “how,” the ideal Communication Specialist ask questions and isn’t afraid to do things differently. The Communications Specialist will bring passion and curiosity for technology, new ideas and creative solutions to the table, while continually working to improve communication and efficiencies across the organization.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Help manage all store and internal communications
  • Proof and write succinct communications to help optimize emails and messages
  • Own the marketing ESP (email service provider) software and process and distributes all store eblasts via platform
  • Partner with creative and communication teams to build emails
  • Test and preview emails with communication and digital partners
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service leadership to ensure alignment
  • Distribute store and bride emails
  • Pull, analyze and report on email statistics and insights
  • Partner with international employees and help manage translation process and schedule
  • Manage communication needs and support for store and internal events, both virtual and physical
  • Adhere to the company and brand style guides

  • Proven project and time management abilities
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preference for Communications, Marketing, Business or similar field of study 
  • Experience in the following areas is a plus and will make your application more strongly considered but not required:
