About the Job
We’re searching for an experienced technical Organic Search Manager to join our Marketing Technology team who will build the foundation for future organic traffic growth and lead our growing SEO team. The Organic Search Manager will develop and manage the SEO roadmap and vision for driving organic growth through our websites, and help push our work from good to great.
We’re looking for an experienced candidate who’s done this work before. Our future Organic Search Manager will serve as the point-person for SEO-related initiatives and will immediately contribute to the Marketing Technology team by taking on projects and helping define deliverables that provide clear value and a bias for action. The role will be tasked with creating reporting, tracking keywords and generating new SEO ideas to grow organic traffic, will guide SEO content ideas and identify gaps for opportunities, and be able to take full ownership of SEO projects from start to finish.
This is a newly created position in the Marketing Technology Department, is located in our Lenexa, KS office, and will report to the Associate Director of Digital Marketing. They will work closely with our Web Product, Analytics, Content, and Web Development teams to analyze what’s working, what’s not and connect the dots in between.

We are looking for someone who has done this work before and is interested in the challenge of building and leading an SEO team focused on international customers across both wholesale and retail businesses. You need to be a creative problem solver proficient in standard methodologies (technical, on-site and off-site) who can run long-term SEO growth.
While a broad understanding and experience in other marketing channels is considered a plus - we’re looking for someone who has been focused solely on SEO for the last 5+ years. This is not the job for a “jack of all trades” or someone who is ready to start specializing in SEO. This is for someone who has been living in this specific world for a while. We don’t anticipate needing to get you up to speed on anything but the specifics of our industry.
Initially the work will be very hands on as you work with the Associate Director of Digital Marketing to understand the unique business that is the bridal industry, what we’ve been doing, and what we think we’re doing next. From there we're looking for someone to expand our capabilities and reach through strategy, processes, execution, reporting, and growing a strong team to execute further on an expanded vision.
Since you will be working with every other Marketing team to support different initiatives - partnership and collaboration, not rigidness, will be needed to build strong relationships across the business.
Your ability to communicate with everyone in the company, from VPs to Coordinators will be imperative to your success. You need to be a good writer and storyteller. You need to be able to build dashboards and reports that make sense to the audience. You need to be able to explain complicated strategies in an easy to digest way to non-technical people. You need to be comfortable presenting to large groups when needed.
While our product is very emotional, our marketing strategies are driven by data. You’ll need to be very comfortable working with data and have a strong understanding of digital analytics, A/B testing strategies, and dashboard building. We’re not looking for someone who’s strength is the creative or graphic design side of ads, as we have in-house creative and content teams. We’re looking for the data driven strategist.
