The Role

 

We are hiring for a Technical Systems and Salesforce Analyst to join our team. This dynamic position will support the administration of the Salesforce environment while also assisting in the design, development, integration, and maintenance of business software solutions across the portfolio. 

 

In this role, from a Salesforce perspective, the individual will work closely with a seasoned Salesforce Administrator to manage the daily configuration, support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Salesforce Service Cloud platform. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving user issues, managing user access and permissions, and performing system maintenance tasks such as upgrades and performance monitoring to ensure system stability. Additionally, this role will be involved in implementing enhancements, including customizing dashboards, reports, and workflows to improve user experience and streamline processes. The Salesforce Administrator will also support end-user training, assist in developing documentation and training materials, and promote best practices within the organization to ensure effective utilization of the Salesforce platform. 

 

In the Technical Analyst capacity, the individual will work with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements, assists with the design, development, configuration, maintenance and support of business systems, and help ensure seamless integration with other business platforms. This role contributes to the technical oversight within the team, by collaborating with peers to drive maturity into the team’s technical capabilities. The Technical Systems Analyst will also the team by participating in the assessment and selection of scalable, right-sized portfolio solutions that align with organization goals. 

 

The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, organized, motivated, and possesses strong technical and communication skills. They should be adept at working independently with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, effectively driving business impact through technical expertise. 

Responsibilities

What We Expect

  • Leverage established software development standards to enhance Salesforce and other business systems utilizing workflows, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, apps, mobile administration, dashboards and reports. 
  • Participate in the implementation and support of software and platform integrations, helping to ensure Salesforce and other application integrations are efficient and reliable. 
  • Contribute to the preparation of product release notes, ensuring that key updates and system changes are well-documented and communicated to stakeholders. 
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers throughout the product development lifecycle, supporting team efforts to ensure project milestones are met and solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • Execute Salesforce and system administration, security and configuration changes in accordance with change management SOPs to support tactical and strategic business initiatives.
  • Review, trouble-shoot and resolve assigned incidents and fulfill assigned service requests within SLAs.
  • Proactively identify and communicate risks to relevant software solutions and projects.
  • Assist in identifying areas for process enhancement and provide input on technical solutions to help drive team development.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification after hire.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in systems analysis, development, and support.
  • Experience with Salesforce administration, including user management, data management and system configuration is required.
  • Basic understanding of ITIL-based support and change management practices.
  • Experience using ticket management and task/project management applications.
  • Experience supporting the design, development, testing, and implementation of software system customizations, preferably in CRM, Retail, or ERP environments.
  • Familiarity with development platforms and languages such as Javascript, HTML, JSON, and Powershell.
  • Exposure to integration technologies such as API (RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL) and EDI.
  • Basic understanding of technology infrastructure supporting CRM, Retail, or ERP solutions.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Microsoft Power Platform, Zapier, or similar considered beneficial.
  • Enthusiastic, inquisitive, and self-motivated problem solver with strong analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough, research-driven approach with a strong willingness to consult and collaborate with team members to overcome obstacles and achieve optimal results.
