About the Job

We are looking for a Merchandising Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team in Lenexa, KS.  The Merchandising Logistics Coordinator acts as the Shipping Lead and takes ownership of the receipting and shipping of gowns and sample inventory management.

The individual in this position must be meticulous with details, as they will have tasks and responsibilities within the department that include a high degree of detail when working with sample gown receipting and inventory organization, preparing, shipping and tracking of gowns to and from factories, stores, markets and photoshoots. This position will also be responsible for completing sample checks on gowns being received, and working closely with our internal Design teams to coordinate samples to ship on a tight timeline. This role will also assist leadership in project management of logistics projects and documentation of processes.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Pull and organize gowns to ship out, coordinate gown movement between design teams, and plan out the timing to be completed prior to the daily FedEx pickup deadline.
  • Coordinate the domestic shipping of sample gowns to trunk shows, photoshoots, markets, influencers, and other locations.
  • Coordinate the International shipping for the design team such as toiles, fabrics to the factories as well as items to our other global warehouses.
  • Barcode and tag gowns as well as quality control checks of sample gowns.
  • Locate missing gowns and accessories throughout the testing lifecycle as needed.
  • Perform regular inventory audits of the sample inventory both at our home office and local warehouse.
  • Maintain inventory spreadsheets.
  • Willing and able to be on photoshoots to assist in shipping gowns directly from the photoshoots as needed.
  • Utilize a project management tool to ensure assigned tasks and projects are completed to deadline and communicate with the Supervisor when issues arise.
  • Seasonally update process documentation as processes evolve and are created to better streamline department functions.

 

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 2 years’ professional office experience in product lifecycle or logistics, preferably in fashion or apparel related environments preferred.
  • Must be self-driven, work well under pressure, and be successful in a team environment. 
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve goals through individual contributions as well as teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, dynamic environment where multi-tasking and adaptability are a requirement.
  • Due to the fast pace of this position, the ability to self-time manage is a strong skill required of this position.
  • Microsoft Excel experience with basic functions such as VLOOKUP and other basic formulas. 
  • Ability to lift 25-35 pounds on a regular basis along with the ability to work on your feet for much of the day during a 40+ hour work week.  
  • Must be able to place gowns on rolling racks and frequently push and pull racks into appropriate position.  
  • Must be able to squat, bend and kneel to load and unload boxes.
  • Must be able to sort stock according to style number and accurately pull orders for shipment.  
  • Have the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
