We are seeking an experienced sewist to work on an hourly on-call/independent vendor basis. Must be available with relatively short notice (usually 1-3 days) to come to our headquarters in Lenexa, KS and assist with bridal gown alteration and repairs. Attention to detail, a sharp eye, and high-quality standards are a must. Quick turn-around is often required. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

The following sewing skills are required:

• Experience sewing delicate fabric, silks, and laces
• Reinforcing loose beading
• Replacing hanger and train loops
• Sewing on and replacing buttons
• General tacking-must know how to tack seamlessly
• and not have visible stitches
• Replacing/changing boning
• Adjusting bust cups
• Replacing zippers
• Sew lace motifs and lace placement adjustment
• Fix open seams
• Remove stains, dirt, or water marks
• Adjust belt sizes
• Trim excess seam allowance
• Draping skills are a plus
