About the Job

 

We are hiring for a Technical Design Administrator (this role is titled Garment Technician Administrator internally) to our growing Product Operations team in Lenexa, Kansas. This role sits within our Quality Control & Returns Department and plays an important part in ensuring our bridal gowns meet the highest standards of craftsmanship, fit, and finish—from factory delivery through final resolution.

 

In this position, you’ll support quality control for bulk gown shipments from our factories, as well as provide technical design and garment support throughout the store return process. You’ll work cross-functionally with Client Support, Product Operations, and global factory partners to help deliver an exceptional experience for our retail partners—and ultimately, their brides.

 

* This position is located in Lenexa, Kansas and our ideal candidate must be willing to relocate if you reside out of state. This position will also work onsite Mon – Fri.*

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Utilize garment technician expertise and strong problem-solving skills to ensure effective quality control of all shipments, evaluating construction, workmanship, and required fixes.
  • Actively participate in hands-on quality control activities, including checking in gowns and assessing overall quality.
  • Document quality control issues thoroughly and communicate findings clearly to internal teams and international factory partners.
  • Participate in the processing and documentation of returned gowns from bridal retail stores, both U.S. and international.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all store return cases within Salesforce.
  • Partner closely with the Client Support team to support timely execution of the return process and help determine the best resolution to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Perform in-house alterations, repairs, and spot cleaning as needed to support timely resolutions.
  • Follow up to ensure return and repair cases are processed accurately and efficiently within the system.
  • Communicate proactively with management regarding priorities, timelines, and any roadblocks impacting departmental deliverables.
  • Participate in meetings with international colleagues to share updates, project progress, and training opportunities.
  • Support seasonal collection launch activities, including line review, strategy week, showroom support, and photoshoots.
  • Assist with timely responses to global Client Support inquiries related to quality control and returns.
  • Contribute technical expertise to process improvements and efficiencies, supporting fellow Product Operations team members and departmental leadership as needed.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor in Apparel, Fashion or related degree; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Previous experience in technical design or QC/Returns processes would be preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of garment construction including knowledge of sewing, pattern making and technical flat sketches.
  • Skilled in visual inspection and ability to identify garments that fall “outside of tolerance”.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Teams, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Familiarity with PLM - i.e. Centric preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM – i.e. Salesforce preferred
  • Familiarity with Wrike is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to self-manage working effectively to a deadline.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Be procedure and process oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Have the flexibility to occasionally assist with tasks outside of standard work hours.
