The Role

Love storytelling? Know how to turn the right words into real impact, whether that’s a store communication, blog article or brand moment? Keep reading.

The Communications Specialist is a member of the Brand Marketing team, reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications. This role sits at the intersection of copywriting, editorial content and communications execution, helping shape how our brands show up, sound and connect across a variety of audiences and channels.

You’ll serve as a go-to writer and editor across the organization, developing clear, compelling communications for stores, employees, brides and other audiences. From store communications to brand websites, LinkedIn, internal communications and event support, you’ll help translate business needs into thoughtful, effective messaging that is unmistakably on-brand.

You’ll also play a key role in our editorial content, writing and editing long-form content, and surfacing trend insights that resonate with brides, retailers and industry insiders. You’ll use AI to work smarter - streamlining processes, accelerating research, sparking ideas and strengthening brand voice and consistency.  We see AI as a thinking partner that helps you move faster, go deeper and spend more time on the strategic and creative work that matters most.

In partnership with the Director of Strategic Communications, you’ll support communications planning across wholesale, retail and internal audiences, helping manage timelines, execution and day-to-day communication needs. You’ll work closely with teams across the organization to keep communications clear, coordinated and moving forward.

This is a role for a sharp writer, detail-oriented communicator and natural dot connector — someone who can move easily between creative storytelling and precise execution, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Write and edit content across a variety of communications channels, including brand and wholesale websites, store communications, LinkedIn, blogs, internal communications, gown copy and event-related messaging.
  • Develop communications for internal and external audiences, including employees, stores, brides and other stakeholders, adapting messaging and tone for each audience while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Maintain and apply company style guidelines and brand standards, helping ensure communications are polished, accurate, consistent and error-free.
  • Use AI tools to work smarter – streamlining processes, accelerating research, sparking ideas and strengthening brand voice and consistency.
  • Support communications planning for major initiatives, launches, selling events and internal programs in partnership with the Director of Strategic Communications.
  • Support wholesale email execution, including link coordination, creative process management, approvals, versioning, distribution lists, building, testing and reporting.
  • Coordinate the global translation process for wholesale and retail communications in partnership with international team members.
  • Support communications needs for wholesale, retail and internal events, partnering across teams to ensure messaging and execution are aligned.
  • Monitor communications performance and reporting, identifying trends and opportunities to continually improve content and execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop communications that meet business needs and resonate with target audiences.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of communications, copywriting, content or related experience, with demonstrated experience writing and editing across multiple formats and audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, business, communications, marketing, English or related field preferred.
  • A sharp, confident writer with a strong editorial instinct and fluency in AP style.
  • Proven experience building media relationships and securing earned placements across print, digital, and trade outlets.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative, relationship-focused communicator who can work effectively across teams and knows when to ask questions or elevate concerns.
  • A curious, adaptable problem solver who can connect the dots, navigate change and continually look for ways to make the work better.
  • Experience in apparel, bridal, fashion or retail is a plus, but a genuine curiosity about the industry matters more.
